Steve Washington & Friends

 — (EDT, UTC-04) — (EDT, UTC-04)

Blues Alley, 1073 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington DC 20007

While I've had the pleasure of being a featured vocalist in recent years at Blues Alley, I've not "marqueed" there in 15 years. So, I'm dubbing this hit my "Return to the Alley" and presenting "Heart of a Troubadour", a nod to the guy singers of the last century that entertained, moved, and influenced me: Hartman, Mathis, Benton, Eckstine, Sammy, O.C. Smith, Jarreau, to name a few. We'll span genres: jazz, blues, classic r&b, latin-brazilian and more. And I've got a world-class lineup to help make it happen:

Benjie Porecki (baby grand piano)

Donato Soviero (guitar)

Blake Meister (upright acoustic bass)

Greg Holloway (drums, percussion)

Thad Wilson (trumpet, flugel)

Mel Prince (sound / live producer)

Blues Alley felt like home back in the day. After all these years, this date feels a bit like homecoming, and I'd love for you to be a part of it. Hope to see your smiling face in the place! Because without you, it's just rehearsal. See you there!!!

Life is a Song!
